Blue Ridge Fellowship Ministries

AUDIO TECHNOLOGY: This team sets up/tears down equipment and monitors the sound for music activities. Informal training is required. This ministry also provides either those who miss a weekend, or someone who lives out of the area a chance to get the service by coordinating and producing all the audio tapes. BULLETIN STUFFERS: Volunteers for this ministry meet weekly to place all printed communication together in the bulletin. The bulletin is our primary means of communication and is given to everyone attending each service. This ministry also helps with special communication mail outs to members, attenders, and visitors. CREATIVE MINISTRIES/CHURCH HISTORY/SCRAPBOOK: If you love to take pictures, sort, organize, document or have innovative ideas, Creative Ministries might be for you. If you have the gifts of creativity, artistic talents, a way with words, a knack for preserving history for posterity, Creative Ministries might be for you. CAR REPAIR: If you are a mechanic or have mechanical experience, you can help the working moms, elderly, on others on our church family who have problems with their cars. To become part of this ministry, contact Mark and Melissa Thurston at 276-952-6198.

COMPASSION MINISTRY: This team of people visit the folks in our church who are hospitalized or sick and extend care and compassion to those who are in need. To become part of this ministry, contact Tracy Farmer at 238-5558 or tfarmer@trch.org.

FACILITY CARE TEAM: This is the behind the scenes crew. Painting, cleaning, fixing, and building projects are just some of the things to be done around the church offices. Flexible hours all during the week available to fit your schedule. This team will serve our community by cleaning up for the Adopt a Highway program. FOOD MINISTRY SUNDAYS AND/OR EVENTS: This team shops for and serves food for Sunday services and prepares food for special events. To become involvpart of this ministry, contact Debbie Frazier at debfraizer@psknet.com or 276-728-9514.

GREETERS: The welcoming team that warmly greets everyone who is on their way to the worship service with a handshake and a smile. These people give first impressions of friendliness, acceptance, and love to members, attenders, and visitors alike. This ministry helps people to have a positive experience at church by helping cars flow smoothly into and out of the parking area at special events. KIDS QUEST/BREAKOUT: A weekly time for elementary children to participate in games, scripture memory, crafts, and be exposed to local and foreign missions. To become part of this ministry, contact Rene'Montgomery at rene@blueridgefellowship.com.

KIDZ COVE (Blue Ridge Children’s Ministry): Many opportunities to work directly or indirectly with children birth to 6th grade. To become part of this ministry, contact Rene'Montgomery at rene@blueridgefellowship.com.

MISSIONS: Short-term mission teams that participate in projects that are designed to introduce various aspects of foreign missions and missionaries to team members.

MULTI-MEDIA: If you can use a computer and teach yourself or others how to use computer software; if you have a computer, scanner, digital camera, video camera or other cool electronic gadgets; if you have knack for putting electronic things together and taking them apart again; if you're an expert at finding things on the Internet; or if you just like to figure out ways to put technology to good use, maybe God has shaped you to work in the Multi-Media Ministry. This team provides the images broadcast on the large screen at worship services other events. You can help design the slide show presentations during the week, or simply run the presentation equipment on Sunday mornings or other events. PRAISE BAND and SINGERS: This team has opportunity to use their musical and vocal talents during services and community activities. Team members must have a heart to lead our congregation in worship. To become part of this ministry, contact Karan Pearman at karan@blueridgefellowship.com.

PRAYER: The team that prays for and follows up on every specific prayer request that comes through the registration cards. They coordinate all church prayer chains and prayer events. To become part of this ministry, contact Brenda Coe at brenda@blueridgefellowship.com.

RECREATION: This team helps keep people physically fit by offering a variety of team activities. They are intended to serve as introduction points for our people to the community. To become part of this ministry, contact Terry Edwards at 276-728-5759.

RESOURCE TABLE: The resource table that consists of brochures and materials on the various BRCF ministries. A team of people helps with the set-up, the administration and the research for materials of the table. To become involvpart of this ministry, contact Brenda Coe at bmcoe@hotmail.com.

SHARING MINISTRY: This ministry develops and manages an inventory of items that can be borrowed by our members instead of purchased.

USHERS: The ushers play a vital role in making everyone feel welcomed and comfortable as they come to worship at Blue Ridge. The ushers make sure everyone gets a bulletin as they enter the sanctuary, they assist in taking up the offering and they are available to provide assistance to the guests during worship services.
